Several Different Hands was an act of re-animation of a Thai manuscript found in the archives of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). The manuscript, labelled Fortune Teller’s Handbook, is attributed to the work of “several different hands.”

Source images were re-illustrated and given a new life through stop motion. By engaging with archival materials, the narratives of items held within colonial institutions can be retold.
