Chris Kitisakkul is an artist and filmmaker based in the UK. Working with moving image, graphic design, scenography, animation and movement, his practice explores the overlap of spirituality, society and politics, with a focus on embodied knowledge and the histories of objects and space.
He was raised between California and Thailand, following both Catholic and Buddhist traditions. This hybrid heritage and international upbringing places him both within and outside of cultures, shaping his perspective on identity, history and belonging. His work looks at how our multi-layered bodies carry social, political and spiritual histories — often more truthfully than official narratives.
Chris has worked for many years as a lead graphic designer on high-end feature films. At the Royal College of Art, Chris re-evaluated his relationship with moving image, shifting toward a non-traditional, research-led approach that explores non-linear storytelling, movement and the poetics of space.
